I really liked exploring and experimenting with all the different components of Zotero…and I suppose the bibliography part was alright too. All in all though, I did learn a great deal from this assignment. I can see how annotated bibliographies could be useful for large research projects, but after this assignment I think I would survive if I didn’t have to do one for quite some time. I have had friends who have been assigned annotated bibliographies for various assignment, but I have never had to make one until now…so hopefully I was able to do it right. Zotero could also be a great storage tool for teachers who are constantly on the lookout for new, creative classroom innovations and activities.Īlong with being introduced to Zotero, this assignment also had me create my first annotated bibliography. Although, I think it would come in handy more for those in secondary education. As a student, Zotero is a great way to organize research information.
I really liked how you could go into the export settings and choose the citation format you wanted…this will definitely come in handy in the future since most of those bib creator cites charge you for anything other than MLA.Īfter completing this assignment, I can really see how Zotero could serve as a valuable tool for both students and teachers. I think it is so great how you can just click a button on your toolbar and it will automatically save the document. However, after downloading and experimenting with Zotero I decided that I love it. At first, I was wondering why we were spending so much time learning about this program when we could just use or something of the sort. When working on this assignment, I found Zotero to be very user friendly. Although the instructor had several technical difficulties during our workshop, she did offer some valuable information that helped me complete this assignment. However, I wish there would have been more of a variety in the times available.
I attended the workshop on Zotero last night before beginning my annotated bibliography and I found it to be very helpful. Well…I thought this assignment was interesting. I hope everyone has been able to get back in the swing of things after Easter break.
